	FARMERS HELPING VULNERABLE RESIDENTS 29.3.2011 The time in which we live have less people who have possibilities and a séance of solidarity and charity. Yet there are positive examples. Last week, farm of family Mitrovic from village Bubanj donated to Students` Center Nis, 200 kg of spinach. In this step Mitrovic decided primarily for humanitarian reasons, because they did not want the remaining spinach, from spring harvest, perish in barracks. Velibor and Desanka Mitrovic already five years he`s been involved in vegetable growing in greenhouses. Currently they use four greenhouses for this agricultural producing, which is organized in village Bubanj. Visiting households on territory of City Municipality of Palilula within the Municipal project from program Exchange 3, that is focused on strengthening of vulnerable groups, practically we make sure that on our territory is many families which are in difficult financial situation – says Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council. As responsible organization of local self government we made a call to socially responsible enterprises from our territory to show solidarity with families who live in difficult conditions and to help their recovery. Recall that more than 10,000 families in our city has a monthly income below ten thousands. With that money, you will agree, it is impossible to feed and sustain the family – highlighted member of the Council Boban Mikic. Thanks to the initiative of already known benefactors Zoran Pejcic and to the City Municipality of Palilula and this donation, in the form of spinach, of farmers Velibor and Desanka Mitrovic from village Bubanj, will find their customers in the institution of Students` Center for the nutrition of vulnerable population.
